Here are some sketches I did yesterday at the Piano Festival in Tel Aviv.
First one at the open to the public show before the concert - i didn't have much time to sketch, but believe me - there were a lot of people, listening to the music, chatting, singing and even dancing!
I drew the second sketch during the concert of Shalom Hanoch - musician that I like a lot. I managed to paint the watercolor background before the concert has started. The rest of the sketch I was needed to sketch in almost total darkness! the result was surprising ;)
After the concert we were looking for a place to drink something, there was done the last sketch:
Almost forgot - the concert was really great, live music is real magic as always!

Words and sounds
Recently I visited at special concert. Composer Yaron Gottfried hosted the writer Etgar Keret, who read his short stories combined with classic music pieces, which Yaron had chosen by his association. It was really great experience, words gave to sounds different meaning! I added to it some lines :)

Hot Jazz and Andy Warhol at museum
Finally, winter have arrived to our sunny country as well. We had very stormy weekend, with snow in Jerusalem and some other high areas and a lot of rain everywhere. We decided that the best place to spend such a rainy Saturday is in museum, where we went with our youngest daughter. We started our day at jazz concert for children - really beautiful program, with some explanations for small ones, we all enjoyed it so much!
We continued to museum exhibitions, starting with "kids' expo", which was called "Toy Paintings", and was dedicated to Andy Warhol's colorful prints of toys. Except of works of Warhol on the walls, the room was full of different activities that children could experience - trying out Warhol's techniques from various sides, listening to Warhol introducing his theories and even "interviewing" him! I think it's great way to introduce to children a subject.
It was a great day, worth spending not only at rainy weather :)

Rock&Sketch
A few days ago we've celebrated my son's, very serious electric guitar player, 15'th birthday. We've decided that the best way to celebrate is to go with whole the family to a rock concert. By a chance, we've found really great concert on his birthday date - 10 greatest Israel guitarists' reunion! It was real rock concert, with whole public standing and moving together with the beat. I didn't believe I could sketch, but after a while I pull out my sketchbook... and I have to admit - sketching during a rock concert is really fun!
