Dragons at Hayarkon park

Last Friday we had our sketchcrawl at the Hayarkon Park, where the Dragon Boats Festival took a place. It was the first time I saw this colorful competition - a lot of variegated long Chinese boats, decorated with dragon heads and tails, floated in a high speed along the Hayarkon river. The familiar park suddenly turned to an exotic place, and we were happy to capture the atmosphere.

At the end I couldn't resist to sketch the dogs garden - the festival didn't influence the dogs and theirs owners playing together ;)
It was perfect get together as always - combination of great place in a great company with sketchbook in the hand!

46 WW Sketchcrawl at Park Hayrkon

We wanted to feel a part of the sketching world, so we met at the last Saturday at Park Hayrkon to join hundreds (or thousands?) of sketchers all over the world, for the 46 WW Sketchcrawl.
It was a beautiful Saturday, sunny and warm, the park was full of people - walking, running, riding bicycles, chatting - moving all the time. So it was great opportunity to sketch people in action - my favorite subject.

Bicycling & sketching

When I go to the bicycle trip with my family and friends, I take with me only necessary stuff. It includes my sketchbook :) There is always what to sketch during the resting time!

People and other animals

Here are sketches from our last Sketchcrawl at Park Hayarkon near Bavli small zoo area. The place was perfect for lazy sketcher - I didn't need to move from my place - my "models" just moved opposite me.

Sketching animals isn't my cup of tea, but I have to admit, it was fun!
Well, sketching people was fun as well ;-)

5th sketchcrawl in Meir Park

Last Saturday our Israel group of Urban Sketchers went to Meir Park - small and elegant garden in the center of Tel Aviv. Urban parks - very comfortable place for sketching. There is a lot of subjects, and everyone can find what he prefers.  Meir Park has it all: trees, grass, trails, playgrounds, even a large fish pond decorated with beautiful water flora, buildings and coffee shops around, and, of course, a lot of people: families with children, dog owners and their dogs, elderly persons and their carers and so on...

34th World Wide SketchCrawl in Park Ra'anana

It was very spontaneous sketchcrawl - my youngest daughter and me sketching in Park Ra'anana. Really, there is no need to go far from home for a nice sketching atmosphere!
