Short trip to the north

From time to time my husband and me succeed to manage short trips by our own - without the kids. Here are some sketches that I did during our short trip to the north part of the country during this weekend.  Our first stop was at Nazareth - beautiful city full of history.
at Nazareth we ate the best hummus ever!

Hanukkah Candle Lighting Tour in Jerusalem

Hanukkah's holidays are over - a lot of family meetings, tasty food and light, of course. Last Saturday we've took a trek through the burning oil laps in the Old City of Jerusalem. The experience was magnified with the special atmosphere of Jerusalem, the glowing candles in the darkness of the night. Here are some photos and sketches.

Sketching in Yafo with Julia

Moscow architect and sketcher Julia is traveling in Israel, so we met at Yafo for chatting, eating and sketching, of course! It's amazing that sketchers that know each other only via internet have so many things to speak about when they meet! It was so fun!

Here are some photos from Yafo Flew Market - love this place!

Berlin has it all - part 2

Our hotel was 100m from Alexanderplarz, so we started exploring the city from this very central point of the city. But not before we've tried out some traditional sausages with sauerkraut and beer, of course!

Here are some more pages from my small sketchbook, I did them mostly while eating or waiting for something.

Travelling through time and place

Every time I visit Jerusalem I feel I bit aboard. I wouldn't even start to write about this mysterious full of contrasts city. It take me to different places over the globe and to different times during the history.
I was too lazy to stop and sketch on a street, but took a lot of photographs.
Here are some sketches I did, mostly while stopped to eat, of course ;-)

34th World Wide SketchCrawl in Park Ra'anana

It was very spontaneous sketchcrawl - my youngest daughter and me sketching in Park Ra'anana. Really, there is no need to go far from home for a nice sketching atmosphere!

State of Tel Aviv

I live in Ra'anana, small town 20 min norther from Tel Aviv. Every time I come to Tel Aviv, the only really big city in Israel (for my opinion), I feel a bit like tourist. There are different pace, different sound, different people around me. Here are some last sketches from the state of Tel Aviv.
