Beach season

Beach season is open here already since long ago. I love beaches, and at spring they are softer and calmer than at summer - really perfect time!

Nothing is better than beaches, especially at the end of August. They are still keep some freshness from the sea, a bit of breeze, salty air and... full of small stories to sketch.

At the beach (again)

Here are some sketches I did during the last weekend at the beach (again ;) ).

I love to take pictures of my sketches' subjects, they show a bit how different are sketches from photographs. Sketches show our very subjective impression from the reality where we decide which story we want to tell and how.

Beaches - my love!

Here are two sketches I did recently at two different beaches of Tel Aviv.  Sea and beaches are one of the best things that we have here, and they are perfect for sketching, always full of life and various "models".

Red Sea

Passover holidays are over. We've traveled a bit, here are some sketches I did in Eilat, port city at the Red Sea.

Winter beach

Sea at winter is even nicer than at summer...

First day of autumn

Yesterday was, at least by the calendar, the fist day of autumn. I spent it with my friends and family... again at the beach. I think I'm already starting to miss the beach even before the winter starts :-)

What can I say? Coming to the beach at these hot days, jumping between  waves, building sand castles with my daughter and, of course, some sketching - all this make me happy!

There is a midst of summer and an air is hardly moving. People are hiding in an air conditioned apartments or at beaches. 

I love sea in every weather, beaches always inspire me, tell me interesting stories, refresh and stir!

Goodbye sketchcrawl on the beach

Yesterday my friend Doron and I met up with our friend Aurore, who's leaving us for the whole summer to France (poor girl :-)) We set our meting at the Charles Clore (MantaRay) Beach and after refreshing ourselves in soft Mediterranean waters we dried out with sketchbooks in the hands :-)

Then we moved to Alma Beach bar, at the back of the fancy MantaRay restaurant, continuing chatting and sketching.
