Sketching in Yafo with Julia

Moscow architect and sketcher Julia is traveling in Israel, so we met at Yafo for chatting, eating and sketching, of course! It's amazing that sketchers that know each other only via internet have so many things to speak about when they meet! It was so fun!

Here are some photos from Yafo Flew Market - love this place!

Sketches from the beach

There is a midst of summer and an air is hardly moving. People are hiding in an air conditioned apartments or at beaches.
I love sea in every weather, beaches always inspire me, tell me interesting stories, refresh and stir!
Here are some sketches from the last Saturday at the beach:

Delicatessen

Today my friend Hagit and I discovered a great place - Delicatessen, at Yehuda Halevy. The place is a restaurant, delicatessen, bakery, flower shop and much more...  It was real fun, and we couldn't, of course, not to sketch a bit. The view from the balcony was a classic urban, so I decided to to catch it

I love Tel Aviv - this city is always full of surprises and hidden corners!

Old buttons shop

The last illustration I did for the column in "Hapinkas" was for a song about an old buttons shop. The hero of the column - a little boy, discover an old buttons shop, peak inside and  see very old lady over the counter, that looks a bit like a magician with boxes full of spells and magics behind her. There is something nostalgic and magic in buttons for me also. I'm still keeping at home my grandma's old wooden box full of color buttons, everyone in different shapes and materials. They remind me my childhood, and still seem to me as a box full of treasure!

I wish you to find some magic in everyday life!
