Etching - more works

I'm continuing to enjoy my etching course very much! For now results are less important for me, the process is what matters. But, what's left with me finally, are the prints. So here they are.

  1. I really really love hand printing techniques!
    Very warm and interesting prints.
Do you need to put as much pressure on the hand you carve with the needle as to knife in wood-cuts?

    1. Thanks a lot, Ira! Actually, you don't need to put pressure at all, because these are hard ground etchings. I scratch off the wax ground with a needle, put the plate into the acid, which "bites" into the metal, where it is exposed. Dry point is the technique where you need to put pressure, but it is different from wood-cut. You should try, it's really fun and different for me!
